How We Work

Getting a high-quality loft conversion from The Attic Guys couldn’t be easier.

1. Contact us and tell us a little about what you’re hoping for from a loft conversion.
2. We can make a free visit to your home to assess your loft space, discuss your plans in more detail and advise as to the best solution. We’ll also advise as to whether your proposed loft conversion can be completed under permitted development rights or whether planning permission will be needed.
3. There are three levels available for you to choose from:
   • The loft will be left watertight for any internal work to be completed subsequently.
   • First fix: your new loft will be fully plastered and all plumbing will be installed.
   • Second fix: includes finished doors, skirting, lighting, etc. All you’ll have to do is start using it!
4. We’ll put together a free, detailed quotation with a full breakdown of all the costs required to complete your project.
5. For a traditional loft conversion, we will provide a structural engineer/architect to do the design. If you choose an ecoTrus conversion, they will come out to carry out the design work.
6. Once you’ve reviewed your quotation and are happy with everything in it, we’ll arrange a date when we can start work.
7. On the agreed date, our team will arrive at your property and start work. Depending on the type of loft conversion you’re having, the work should take between one and three weeks to complete.
8. When the job has been completed and building control signed off, we’ll make sure you’re 100% happy with every aspect of your new loft space before leaving you and your family to enjoy it.
